Inspire and create a better society where everyone has a safe home, enabling them to pursue their dreams and contribute to a better world.
DCTF empowers real estate professionals and community leaders to increase sustainable homeownership and ensure affordable and resilient housing for the AAPI community, and other minority communities at large. We champion diversity, equity, and economic opportunities by generating and pooling resources to foster a more inclusive and stronger society.
Challenging the Model Minority
Myth in Housing
Homeownership rates are 76% for White, 42% for Black, 45% for Hispanic, and 52% for Asian American communities, but only 14% for the Mongolian and 35% for the Nepalese community. Despite these figures, government programs, major banks, and corporations mainly support Black and Brown communities, neglecting Asian Americans. Mainstream America views Asian Americans as a model minority, yet the reality tells a different story.
Asian American communities are often excluded from government and corporate revitalization plans. Until recently, the US Census categorized Asian Americans as "Other," reinforcing their exclusion. Media focus on successful Asian students overlooks the majority who are struggling.

DCTF aims to educate on the economic diversity within the Asian American community. While some are successful, many strive for the American dream of homeownership. Our platform will amplify their voices, highlighting issues and working towards collaborative solutions.
The Goals of DCTF
To help make our society a safer, greater place for ourselves and our children by improving the lives of the people in our communities. Although it is an altruistic endeavor, we will all ultimately benefit from it by living in a better society that is just equitable and safe.
